Mechanical Designer - Water and ProcessLocation: Bury, Greater Manchester Contract: 12-month rolling contract IR35: Outside IR35 Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the Bury office Rate: Up to 500 per day We are recruiting a Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Design Engineer for a long-term contract supporting the design and delivery of water, wastewater and process engineering projects. The assignment is offered on a 12-month rolling contract, outside IR35, with hybrid working and three days per week based from Bury.ResponsibilitiesProduce mechanical engineering designs, drawings and calculations for pumps, pipework, valves, tanks and process plant.Develop mechanical design requirements from client remits.Produce and develop PandIDs, general arrangement drawings and equipment schedules.Interpret process flow information and equipment specifications.Develop practical engineering solutions that meet project requirements.Develop and maintain engineering and design standards.Work collaboratively with engineering, project and other design disciplines.Attend project sites when required.Experience requiredMechanical design experience within water, wastewater, utilities, industrial, energy or infrastructure environments.Experience designing pumps, pipework, valves, tanks and/or process plant.Strong capability developing and interpreting PandIDs and GA layouts.Experience working with process information and equipment specifications.2D AutoCAD experience is essential.SolidWorks ..... full job details .....
