Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Type: Full-Time Permanent Location: Derbyshire Client Overview Our client is a well-established UK engineering and manufacturing business specialising in the design and production of advanced packaging and automation machinery. Job Responsibilities Support mechanical engineering projects from concept design through to commissioning Design components, assemblies, and machinery using SolidWorks or similar CAD software Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation Develop innovative engineering solutions for packaging and automation equipment Ensure designs comply with relevant regulatory and health and safety standards Skills Required Experience designing packaging machinery and/or automation equipment Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD packages Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills Compensation and Other Benefits Competitive salary package Opportunity to work on innovative projects Career development and progression opportunities Please note that our client is unable to offer sponsorship for employment visas.
