Due to continued product development, the business is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its multi-disciplinary engineering team.This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging products, supporting new product development, improving existing designs and delivering practical, reliable and cost-effective engineering solutions.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you ll work closely with manufacturing, procurement, quality, testing and project teams, taking responsibility for defined products and engineering projects from concept through to production release.The RoleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Taking technical ownership of mechanical products, subsystems and engineering work packages from concept through to production release.Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings, applying appropriate dimensioning and geometric tolerancing.Applying Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), FMEA and Design for Quality principles.Supporting new product development, product introduction and value engineering activities.Preparing engineering ..... full job details .....
