Mechanical Design EngineerMilton Keynes 40 - 45K/annum We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding engineering team delivering innovative power and protection systems within highly regulated and technically challenging environments. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systemsProduce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or InventorSupport system integration activities, ensuring compatibility across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplinesConduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and material selectionEnsure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligationsSupport verification and validation activities, including testing, prototyping, and product developmentCollaborate effectively with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experienceExperience in mechanical design within engineering or manufacturing projectsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk InventorGood understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principlesDesirable ExperienceExperience working within defence, aerospace, nuclear, rail, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with verification, validation, testing, and prototyping ..... full job details .....
