JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Dartford TERM- Permanent SALARY- 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (plus benefits) Premier Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Dartford. This role involves the design and development of mechanical components and systems, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to deliver high-quality products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldExperience in mechanical design within manufacturing, automation, or industrial machineryProficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and machining processesExperience designing for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)Ability to perform engineering calculations and FEA analysisStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamUnderstanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, or electromechanical systems (desirable)The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies from concept to productionProducing 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs using CAD softwareEnsuring designs comply with industry standards and customer requirementsCollaborating with production and engineering teams to optimise designs for manufactureConducting design reviews, prototyping, and ..... full job details .....
