They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar3 or more years of industry experience working in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge and experience with Engineering consultancy, construction validation commissioning and designStrong knowledge and proficiency with CAD software such as Revit or similarExperience managing multiple projectsExperience working with multiple materialsGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesHave excellent communication skillsBe a flexible team-playerHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsLiaising with manufacturing providersCompleting designs, specifications and drawings around Factories and fit-outsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are ..... full job details .....
