Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Witney, OxfordshireJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridayMechanical Design Engineer - WitneyPlanet Recruitment are working with an established and growing engineering manufacturer based in Witney who are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that designs and manufactures precision-engineered mechanical products supplied to customers worldwide across demanding industrial and high-performance sectors.The successful candidate will be involved in the full product development lifecycle, from concept design through to production, working closely with manufacturing, assembly and engineering teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks.Create assembly models and fully toleranced manufacturing drawings.Design components suitable for CNC machining and manufacture.Work closely with machining and assembly teams to optimise designs for manufacture.Support new product development from concept through to production.Maintain accurate engineering documentation and CAD records.Assist with prototype development using modern manufacturing technologies including 3D printing and 3D scanning.Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the company''s MRP system.Support ..... full job details .....
