Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Wallingford, OxfordshireSalary: Competitive, DOEWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering business in Wallingford, where you will play a key role in developing bespoke engineering solutions, improving existing products and supporting projects through design, build and delivery.This is a varied, hands-on role combining advanced 3D CAD design, mechanical engineering, project management and production support. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal Commercial and Production teams to turn technical requirements into practical, high-quality engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesManage bespoke engineering projects and customer-specific design modifications from initial brief through to final delivery.Carry out integration studies and develop practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.Produce and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.Manage project Bills of Materials (BOMs), budgets and technical requirements.Provide hands-on technical support to Production and Sales, resolving design and assembly issues.Liaise with customers, component suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure designs meet required specifications and certification standards.Support product builds, testing, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve product performance, design efficiency and manufacturing ..... full job details .....
