Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our key client in North Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience minimum in a Mechanical Design role using Solidworks.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
• Use Solidworks 3D to create new concept designs and modify existing products for customers
• Ideally experience working on fabricated parts, mechanisms, jigs and fixtures and any mechanical system, machinery, automated systems knowledge etc. is ideal.  
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials (especially metals, fabrications, sheet metal, steel etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Mechanical Design Engineer - Personal Attributes

• 3 years of experience minimum in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
• Solidworks proficient
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Effective communicator who can work independently or as part of a team
• Reliable and committed
• Full UK driving licence
