      <description>Location: Wellington | Salary: 40000.00-40000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Mechanical Design Engineer (AutoCAD Inventor) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer (AutoCAD Inventor) on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering business.  The successful candidate will be responsible for producing practical, accurate mechanical designs, supporting product development and ensuring designs are suitable for manufacture. Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:  Produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs). Develop new designs and modify existing products. Produce fabrication and assembly drawings, including dimensions, tolerances and material specifications. Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues. Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawing revisions. Ensure designs meet customer specifications and engineering requirements.  Key Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:  Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical.
