Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - AerospaceSouth Molton, Devon 6-Month+ PAYE Contract Immediate StartWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a growing production and sustaining engineering workload within a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation in South Molton.This is an initial 6-month PAYE contract with the potential for extension. The role is ideally site-based, although a 3-day onsite / 2-day remote working pattern may be considered once established in the role. Rates starting from 35ph PAYE (equivalent of 46.50 UMB/LTD) depending on experience. Opportunity to advance holiday pay into hourly rate or have as accrued and take paid time off. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Design Engineering representative to the Material Review Board (MRB)Assess engineering change requests and provide technical analysis and justificationSupport customer-driven engineering changes and documentationProduce and update engineering drawings and CAD modelsSupport production, manufacturing and sustaining engineering activitiesCollaborate with local and global engineering teamsEnsure compliance with aerospace standards and engineering best practiceRequired ExperienceMechanical design engineering experience within aerospace, defence or another regulated industryStrong Creo and MicroStation skills (CATIA desirable)Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering documentationGood understanding of GDandT, tolerance analysis and DFMA ..... full job details .....
