Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong design, mechanical, and commercial awareness to contribute to precision-engineered, bespoke electromechanical assemblies. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed 2D and 3D designs for bespoke and standard machinery, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability Manage updates and revisions to existing designs, ensuring changes are recorded and implemented efficiently Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative mechanical and electromechanical solutions Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials and technical documentation in design and ERP systems Ensure all project files, drawings, and specifications are complete, organised, and available for cross-departmental use Support the wider engineering team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required The Candidate Holds a recognised engineering qualification Proven ability to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using professional CAD software Skilled in developing practical, cost-effective designs that meet project requirements Experience working on complex assemblies Exposure to machinery design and build Strong knowledge of mechanical tolerances, fits, and quality standards Comfortable managing design revisions and implementing changes efficiently Familiarity with document and data management systems for engineering projects Understanding of ..... full job details .....
