The successful candidate will be responsible for developing mechanical designs from initial concept through to completion, working across a range of engineering projects. You will use 3D CAD software to develop and improve designs, working closely with manufacturing, production, operations and project management teams to ensure products are practical, cost-effective and suitable for manufacture and assembly. The role will also involve supporting new product development, improving existing designs and contributing to continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Develop mechanical designs using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Take designs from initial concept through to detailed design and completion. Collaborate with engineering colleagues on mechanical, electrical and automation projects. Support project planning, customer liaison and coordination between departments to meet key milestones.
