Mechanical Design Engineer

The OpportunityWe''re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business, working on the design and development of complex mechanical products and systems.This is a varied role covering the full design lifecycle, from initial concepts and detailed design through to testing, development and manufacture.The RoleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing mechanical components, assemblies and systems, working closely with other engineering and manufacturing functions to deliver robust and practical design solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems from concept through to manufacture.Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.Develop designs against engineering requirements and specifications.Carry out design calculations, tolerance analysis and engineering assessments.Support prototype builds, testing and design verification.Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.Investigate and resolve technical and design issues.Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.Ensure designs meet relevant engineering, quality and safety requirements.Maintain accurate engineering documentation and configuration throughout the design lifecycle.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects to agreed timescales.About YouWe''re looking ..... full job details .....
