Mechanical Design Engineer Egham Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client''s engineering team, responsible for designing and delivering high-quality mechanical system elements for advanced simulation systems. This includes producing full manufacturing packages (GA drawings, detailed drawings, and BOMs) and supporting projects from concept through to production. You may also take ownership of projects as a Lead Engineer, managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring designs are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical assemblies and system elements (e.g. actuators, manifolds, bearings, load cells)Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and hydraulic schematicsEnsure compliance with relevant directives (e.g. CE/UKCA, Machinery and Pressure Equipment)Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principlesConduct design reviews and support continuous improvement initiativesMaintain technical documentation and project trackersSupport production, testing, and supplier queriesAssist with risk assessments, manuals, and system builds when requiredSkills and ExperienceHND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 2+ years relevant experienceStrong background in hydraulic/pneumatic systems or precision mechanical designProficiency in 3D CAD (ideally SolidWorks)Experience producing drawings to BS 8888, including GDandT and tolerance analysisKnowledge of ..... full job details .....
