Mechanical Design Engineer £40,000 to £45,000 Witney Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-performance suspension systems for the automotive and motorcycle industries, supplying motorsport teams, vehicle manufacturers and performance enthusiasts worldwide. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop precision mechanical products from concept through to production. The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks experience, an understanding of CNC manufacturing and a practical approach to solving engineering challenges. Mechanical Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities Produce detailed 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks Create assembly models and fully toleranced manufacturing drawings Design precision mechanical components suitable for CNC machining and production Apply design-for-manufacture principles to ensure products are practical, efficient and cost-effective to produce Work closely with the in-house CNC machining and assembly teams to optimise product designs Collaborate with vehicle application engineers to develop new and existing suspension products from concept through to production Support prototype development using 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials within the company''s MRP system Maintain accurate engineering documentation, manufacturing drawings and CAD files Investigate technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions Contribute to ..... full job details .....
