Mechanical Design Engineer£50-52/hr Outside IR35 3-Month initial contractBristol, UK (Hybrid)We''re working with a Bristol-based engineering team on a fast-moving EV programme and are looking for a Battery Pack Design Engineer to take ownership of mechanical design work packages from concept through to delivery.This is not a CAD-only role. You''ll be trusted to own solutions, interpret requirements, manage interfaces and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality designs.What You''ll Be Doing Own and lead delivery of mechanical battery pack design work packagesGather, interpret and break down requirements before moving into detailed designDevelop high-quality CATIA models and manufacturing drawingsWork closely with CAE, electrical, thermal and other engineering teamsManage technical interfaces, risks, timing and design changes throughout deliveryApply strong GDandamp;T and tolerancing principles to released designsTake designs from concept through to manufacturing/release What We''re Looking For Strong mechanical design/CAD experience, ideally within battery packs, EV, automotive or a comparable engineering environmentExcellent CATIA skills; 3DEXPERIENCE/3DX experience is a bonusStrong knowledge of GDandamp;T and tolerancingExperience producing designs suitable for manufacture and releaseProven ability to own a technical solution or work package end-to-endStrong communication skills and the confidence to work across multidisciplinary teamsA ..... full job details .....
