MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Factories are automating- and my machinery manufacturing customer has seen the demand for their machines increase significantly, and it''s a trend that is set to go on. They are continually being asked to adapt, modify, upgrade, change or widen out their types of machines, to deal with new applications, different customer products. And that''s why I am looking for a new MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join the team making those changes. Each project, each machine order won results in you having to take a standard machine and design some changes- adapt it to the customers'' requirements, speeds, product, and change the sub-assemblies, tooling, fixtures, the way the machine accepts and processes, works with other processing, manufacturing and packaging machinery and conveyors. OK, so it''s not reinventing the wheel, or design of a machine from first principles, but it requires a mechanical engineer with a feel for how machinery works to do it. And that- plus 3D CAD Draughting skills - is exactly what we need here. Solidworks, Creo, Autocad inventor- ideally SOLIDWORKS, but one of those would be good. Mechanical Design or CAD Draughtsperson experience, living in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, maybe commutable to Huntingdon, St Ives for example.
