Mechanical Design Engineer

Do you have a background in designing mechanical engineered components?And knowledge of sheet metal, extrusion, plastic injection moulding, and electro-mechanical engineering?This could be the role for you!We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design sheet metal and plastic enclosures, and additional mechanical components, for an electro-mechanical engineering business. You will be utilising processes such as material extrusion, fabrication and casting plus exciting technologies such as injection moulding. Production assistance with the design of jigs/fixtures will also be required from time to time.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a recognised mechanical engineering qualification and at least three years of design experience in all types of enclosures for a high volume manufacturing business. It would be beneficial for the appointed Mechanical Design Engineer to have experience in industrial/product design and have a flair for the aesthetic.
