Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Salary: 35,000 to 45,000 Job Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full-time We are an engineering and manufacturing business based in Stevenage, looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an opportunity to take responsibility for mechanical design projects, developing new designs and improving existing products while working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams. The role will suit an engineer who enjoys detailed design, solving practical engineering challenges and seeing projects through from initial requirements to manufacture. Key responsibilities will include: Designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies and products Producing accurate 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings Developing engineering solutions to meet customer and project requirements Selecting suitable materials, components and manufacturing processes Applying design for manufacture and assembly principles Carrying out engineering calculations to support design decisions Producing and maintaining bills of materials and technical documentation Working closely with production teams and suppliers to resolve manufacturing queries Supporting prototype development, testing and design validation Managing design changes and maintaining accurate drawing revisions Improving existing designs for performance, reliability and cost Managing your workload to meet project deadlines You will ideally have: ..... full job details .....
