Mechanical Design Engineer

What you will do Design parts and assemblies in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor or Creo) Produce detailed drawings with correct GDandT Carry out design calculations and tolerance analysis Work with production to make designs easy and cheap to build Support prototyping, testing and design changes Keep the bill of materials and engineering records up to date What you need Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, or similar 2+ years in a mechanical design role Strong 3D CAD skills and solid knowledge of GDandT Understanding of materials and manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, fabrication, moulding) Clear communication and good attention to detail Nice to have FEA experience Experience with PDM/PLM systems Working towards IEng or CEng ..... full job details .....
