Mechanical Design Engineer

What You''ll Do

• Design probing and handling mechanisms
• Produce detailed drawings to BS8888 standards for manufacturing
• Manage mechanical design within project cost constraints
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Liaise directly with clients on mechanical requirements and specifications
• Source components, create accurate parts lists, and manage supplier relationships
• Support factory and site acceptance testing with customers
• Work within ISO procedures for documentation and change control

What We Need

• 2+ years mechanical design experience
• Formal mechanical engineering qualification (2:1 degree or equivalent)
• Experience with machined components, sheet metal fabrication, and welded structures
• Knowledge of 19" rack systems and assembly techniques
• 3D CAD experience (Solid Edge preferred but not essential)
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
• Security clearance requirements apply
