Role Summary

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in the development of custom-engineered solutions, supporting the delivery of high-value projects across international markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full design lifecycle, ensuring that all outputs meet compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer Role

  • Lead product design and development from concept through to detailed engineering and production.
  • Create and adapt 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, tailored to client specifications and operational environments.
  • Generate detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials using CAD and ERP systems.
  • Design sheet-metal and welded structural fabrications
  • Ensure all designs comply with international standards and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and installation to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer Role

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • experience in 3D CAD design
  • Strong understanding of stainless steel, sheet metal, weldments
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
