We are looking for a practical Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing mechanical systems. This role suits engineers who enjoy solving real engineering problems, developing prototypes, and working closely with workshops and test environments.

• Design and develop mechanical systems, machines, and mechanisms.

• Build and test prototypes, fixtures, and development assemblies.

• Investigate mechanical failures and performance issues and implement improvements.

• Work closely with workshops, technicians, and manufacturing teams to develop practical engineering solutions.

• Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement of mechanical designs.

• Experience designing and building mechanical systems, not just individual components.

• Strong hands-on engineering background, including prototypes, test rigs, or machinery.

• Exposure to manufacturing processes, tooling, or bespoke equipment.

• Proven ability to solve practical engineering problems.

• Experience using 3D CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks or similar).

A degree is not essential. Candidates with apprenticeship or practical engineering backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
