Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: -36,000 - -41,000 per annum

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs with a focus on sheet metal and fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  
  
• Design and develop components and assemblies for sheet metal and fabricated products
  
  
• Produce Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
  
  
• Liaise with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
  
  
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to support ongoing projects and new product development
  
  

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (essential)
  
  
• Strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication
  
  
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
