Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-end commercial & residential projects across London. They are seeking an experienced-Mechanical Design Engineer-to join their growing team-with at least 7 years experience in Building Sevices and MEP.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional-to take a leading role in delivering complex, technically challenging projects from concept through to completion.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and site teams to develop efficient, compliant, and high-quality mechanical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed mechanical building services designs from concept through to construction.

Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.

Coordinate mechanical services with multidisciplinary design and construction teams.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, British Standards, and client requirements.

Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including resolving design and installation issues.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of 7-years'' experience-in mechanical building services design.

Strong experience delivering commercial and high-end residential building services projects.

Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and associated mechanical systems.

Strong understanding of current regulations, British Standards, and industry best practices.

Proven ability to coordinate complex designs within multidisciplinary teams.

Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

A proactive and detail-focused approach to design delivery.

What''s on Offer

Salary of -60,000 - -90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Based in-Sutton, with travel to various-London-based project sites.
