Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a well-established and growing engineering contractor specialising in the design and delivery of mechanical and electrical building services projects.Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.The RoleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality mechanical building services designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.Working closely with project managers, clients, consultants and the wider design team, you will ensure mechanical systems are technically compliant, practical and deliverable within programme and budget requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical building services systems across a range of projects.Produce detailed mechanical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.Develop HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water and associated mechanical systems.Interpret client requirements, specifications and engineering standards.Produce and review drawings and technical documentation.Work collaboratively with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.Undertake design reviews and identify potential technical issues at an early stage.Assist with equipment selection, sizing and technical submissions.Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, CIBSE guidance, Building Regulations and ..... full job details .....
