Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a successful and fast-growing-Facilities Management and MEP Projects-company operating across the UK. With a strong track record in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects ranging in value from -1 million to -10 million, they offer innovative, high-quality solutions to clients in the industrial, commercial, and educational sectors.

As part of their continued growth, our client are now seeking an experienced-Mechanical Design Engineer-to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background within the construction industry, specifically with a strong mechanical bias (Building services rather than products) and be proficient with the use of design tools such as-CAD.-Plus experienced in undertaking-design calculations for pipe and duct sizing''s-etc.

Role information:

Salary - Up to -50,000 per annum

Working hours - Monday to Friday (8am-5pm)

Working location - Hybrid Role with a mix of Telford Office & Home working permitted

The successful candidate will meet the below requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
• Experience using AutoCAD (REVIT would be beneficial)
• Experience in carrying out Mechanical Design within the construction industry
• Experience in producing Layout Drawing (e.g. Above Ground Drainage, Heating and Cooling, Domestic Services, Ventilation)
• Experience in producing Schematic Drawings.

Required skills:

• In-depth mechanical (building services) expertise
• Competent IT / software skills
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written for internal and client facing meetings
• Ability to organise your time and be self-motivated
• As Positive attitude and Team Player
• A thorough understanding of relevant regulations and standards
• Understanding of Design Development process in Construction (RIBA Stages)
