They are an expert in their field and provide Engineering solutions to a variety of industries.The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarAt least 5 years'' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation positionPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environmentBe proficient using 3D CAD software ideally SolidWorksGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProficient using MS OfficeExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Design Engineer role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along ..... full job details .....
