Mechanical Design Draughtsperson

Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join them on a contract basis for 6 months with possible extension. You will be working closely with a wide range of project teams to develop definitions to meet the manufacturers and customer''s needs.Role: Mechanical Design Draughtsperson Location: Stevenage, 2 days onsite as a minimum Hours: 37 per week Hourly Rate: 43- 45 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 Clearance: SC required before starting, UK Eyes Only due to projectWhat you''ll be doing:Must have a strong background in the ability to create 2D and 3D definitions.In this role, you will develop the 2D and 3D definitions working with the engineer, quality assessing the 3D models you receive for a variety of defence products.Appointments will be made at an appropriate level based on skills and experience. Please bring examples of 2D draughting work to show in the interviewRequirements:Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.Excellent knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems and similar standards and GD and TAbility to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality robust 2D/3D definitions and must have a good amount of 3D modelling experience.
