Refurbishment Rebuilds OEM Capital Equipment SolidWorksLocation: RoytonSalary: £45,000 per annumType: Full-time, PermanentThe OpportunityWe''re recruiting for a Mechanical Design and Service Engineer to join a specialist OEM engineering business supporting the repair, refurbishment and rebuild of heavy industrial equipment and machinery.This is a hands-on engineering role combining mechanical design, reverse engineering, technical problem-solving, and customer support. You''ll work on the refurbishment of existing machinery, creation of replacement parts, and continuous improvement of legacy equipment.It''s a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems and working across the full product lifecycle, from inspection and fault diagnosis through to redesign, manufacture and assembly.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorksCreate and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentationSupport repairs, refurbishments and rebuilds of OEM capital equipmentAssess used machinery and components, identifying whether to repair, reuse or replaceCarry out reverse engineering of existing componentsProduce technical reports and recommendations for repair scopes and quotationsSupport production teams during dismantling, inspection and rebuild phasesCreate work instructions and support manufacturing/assembly processesManage engineering changes through ECN / change control processesLiaise with ..... full job details .....
