Mechanical Design and Development Engineer

We are working with a growing manufacturing business specialising in innovative HVAC-related solutions, supplying products into a global market. Due to continued expansion and increased demand, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Production Engineer to join their team in Bridgwater.This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, collaborative engineering team where you will play a key role in both new product development and continuous improvement of existing designs, supporting a business that is experiencing strong sales growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine project requirements including product functionality and applicationProduce detailed 2D and 3D designs using engineering software (Inventor preferred)Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP systemWork closely with Operations to support manufacturing processes and improvementsDevelop and refine designs to meet performance, cost, and quality requirementsAssess production methods and contribute to cost-effective manufacturing strategiesLiaise with suppliers to help establish and maintain a robust supply chainEvaluate product performance across durability, safety, and functionalityImplement feedback and drive continuous improvement initiativesAbout YouMinimum 2 years'' experience in a Production or Design Engineering roleStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical design principlesExperience within HVAC, or working with pumps, heat exchangers, fans, or pipe sizingProficient in ..... full job details .....
