Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager with a proven background in commercial and healthcare environments? We are a well-established MandE Contractor seeking a contract professional to take immediate ownership of ongoing mechanical projects across the West Midlands.
This is a 3-month contract position with the potential for extension based on workload and performance.
Responsibilities
Overseeing mechanical packages on commercial and healthcare sites
Managing subcontractors, site teams, and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
Liaising with clients, main contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery
Coordinating and ensuring compliance with RAMS, HandS regulations, and site-specific protocols
Attending site meetings, producing progress reports, and handling variations or technical queries
Reviewing and approving drawings, specifications, and procurement schedules
Ensuring all mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, hot and cold water systems, medical gases where applicable) are installed to spec and tested/commissioned properly
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within MandE contracting
Strong track record delivering projects in commercial and healthcare settings
Relevant Mechanical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering, City and Guilds, or equivalent)
Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems and services within building environments
Able to manage multiple sites and work in a fast-paced environment
CSCS card, SMSTS, and relevant HandS qualifications preferred
