we are currently recruiting for Mechanical Construction Manager to work on a project based at Heathrow

Your day to day will include:

Taking responsibility for health and safety on siteLeads by example - sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of workSupport the Project Manager to manage and supervise on site personnelAssume a leadership on site with regard to the work being carried out and by following and implementing the site safety plan and rulesEnsure that employees have the relevant training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionallyManage the labour resources on site to ensure efficient workingComplete time sheets accurately and submit on timeLiaise with payroll with payroll queries from siteMaintain discipline on site, report any incidents and take action as appropriateManage and train apprentices in accordance with relevant trainingAssist the Project Manager to plan labour and material resourcesUse the purchasing system to acquire materials as required in the most cost-effective mannerKeep all plant maintained and kept secure. All hire plant must be off hired as soon as it is finished withReduce costs as far as possibleCheck all materials before you install them to ensure they are fir for use and comply with the project specificationsAssist in ensuring systems are handed over to the clientAdvise the project manager when you are prevented by others from working efficientlyAll other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager

What we are looking for:

Mechanical qualificationsPrevious experience in a similar roleHealth, Safety and Environmental systemsKnowledge of the team''s strengths and weaknesses
