Are you an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager looking for a new challenge in the rapidly growing data centre sector? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading European data centre delivery partner on-site in Helsinki, Finland. This is a chance to work with a dedicated, expert team and play a pivotal role in the construction of cutting-edge data centres.
The Role
As the Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be a key player in the successful delivery of HVAC systems and mechanical works on a significant project. You''ll take ownership of the project from conception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Project Leadership: Managing all mechanical aspects of the project, including preparing method statements and risk assessments.
Team & Client Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for relevant client communications and coordinating with the project team to meet all scheduled deadlines.
Commercial Management: Overseeing the project''s commercial viability from the initial handover, through to procurement, and assisting with monthly valuations and final accounts.
Scheduling & Resource Management: Ensuring the project schedule is maintained, managing a two-week look-ahead, and guaranteeing that all labour requirements are met.
Health & Safety: Upholding the highest standards of on-site health and safety, reviewing working practices to improve safety, and ensuring excellent housekeeping.
Requirements
We are seeking a proactive and skilled professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering. To be a successful candidate, you will need:
A relevant Mechanical Qualification (e.g., B.Eng Degree, City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ).
Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally within a Mechanical and Electrical contracting environment.
Previous Data Centre experience is a distinct advantage.
Exceptional organisational, communication, and time management skills.
