OverviewMechanical Commissioning Engineer — Onsite Role | £450-£500 per day | 4-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support a busy data centre project through a peak delivery phase. This is a boots-on-the-ground role — you''ll be out in the field all day commissioning and tagging, with minimal office time.
Role DetailsStart: Beginning of October (potential to start earlier)
Duration: 4 months (project delivery through end of January)
Location: Onsite
Rate: £450-£500 per day (outside IR35)
Responsibilities
Hands-on commissioning, tagging, and walkdowns (W2).
QA/QC checks as part of walkdowns.
Working closely with the Commissioning Manager (who will handle documentation and project push).
Focused on systems including Generators, UPS, Busbars, and related critical infrastructure.
Requirements
Proven commissioning experience across L1 to L3 stages.
Strong background in mission-critical / data centre environments.
Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of site-based commissioning tasks.
Able to support QA/QC and ensure high standards of delivery.
