Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

An established, independent MandE Building Services Design Consultancy with over 40 years of experience is seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. Our client specialises in technically complex projects, particularly in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Research and Education sectors. This is a great opportunity to work on interesting and challenging design projects in a supportive team environment. Role Overview You will be responsible for the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a range of pharmaceutical and specialist building projects. Key Responsibilities Design of mechanical building services including HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling, and associated piped services Production of detailed calculations, specifications, drawings and reports Coordination with other design disciplines and stakeholders Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and client requirements Providing technical support during the construction phase Value engineering and sustainability input Requirements Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering Proven experience as a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems design Experience working on pharmaceutical or highly regulated projects is highly advantageous Proficient user of AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience preferred) Excellent ..... full job details .....
