The Mechanical Assembly Technician will play a vital role in the assembly of UHV manipulation and sample handling sub-assemblies, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. This is a hands-on role suited to a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical and electrical assembly. Key Responsibilities: Assemble complex mechanical and electrical components to specification, ensuring precision and quality. Carry out specialist UHV-compatible wiring and electrical testing to support cleanroom standards. Maintain UHV clean processes for all vacuum components and sub-assemblies. Support the transition from prototype to production, including writing and updating manufacturing documents. Maintain detailed records including test data, quality control logs, and instrument serial tracking. Skills and Experience: Experience assembling UHV-compatible devices and instrumentation is highly desirable. Background in low-volume, customised product manufacturing preferred.
