TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing company based in Ringwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong hands-on mechanical assembly and fitting experience who is confident working from engineering drawings and wants to join a skilled manufacturing environment

The Role:

• Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of specialist equipment
• Working from engineering drawings, build instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Fitting components including frames, pipework, pumps, valves, instrumentation and machined parts
• Carrying out drilling, tapping, cutting and general bench assembly
• Installing and aligning mechanical components
• Using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
• Carrying out basic functional testing
• Identifying build issues, drawing discrepancies and quality concerns
• Completing quality and production documentation

What We''re Looking For:

• Previous mechanical assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering
• Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical fitting and practical engineering skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good understanding of Health & Safety within a workshop environment

Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, process pipework or mechanical fault finding would be an advantage. An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar mechanical engineering qualification would also be beneficial.
