Mechanical Assembly Technician

Mechanical Assembly Technician - Stoke-on-Trent As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling technically complex, high-value products. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and the Cargo Research Team, you will support the build of a new generation of inspection systems while contributing to product quality, testing, and continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities:Assemble mechanical components and complete systems to engineering specifications.Carry out testing of sub-assemblies, including pressure, leak, and coolant system testing.Accurately record assembly work, test results, and any modifications completed.Work in compliance with ISO9001 quality standards and audited processes.Support product quality assurance activities, including root cause analysis of failed hardware.Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical and production issues.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area in line with 5S principles.Uphold the company''s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company''s Code of Ethics and Conduct.It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
