Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Operator to join our clients production team. The role requires precision, manual dexterity, and a strong understanding of mechanical processes.

This role is fully supported with training and with a view to a permanent job after qualifying probationary period

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprints and specifications.
  • Perform functional and quality checks on assembled components to ensure proper fit and operation.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Work to established quality and safety standards, including the use of PPE.
  • Troubleshoot and correct assembly issues, escalating problems as needed.
  • Assist in the testing, calibration, or packaging of finished products.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques.
