Mechanical Assembly Fitter Right Hire Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Heavy Engineering Fitters to join a well-established manufacturing operation in a skilled, hands-on engineering role. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in heavy engineering, HGV, bus, rail, aerospace or motor mechanics who are looking to develop their skills within a professional production environment. The Role As a Heavy Engineering Fitter, you will carry out skilled fitting, inspection, overhaul and assembly activities on large mechanical components and assemblies. Working as part of an experienced production team, you will be responsible for completing work safely, accurately and efficiently, while meeting quality standards and production deadlines. The role will involve: Inspection and measurement of components. Mechanical fitting and component overhaul. Building and assembling mechanical systems and components. Testing assemblies and systems. Following detailed work instructions, route cards and standard operating procedures. Recording work completed and signing off relevant documentation. Working as part of a team across different areas of the manufacturing process.
