Manpower Engineering are delighted to be working with a well-established company who are experts in high-pressure fluid control to help them recruit a permanent Mechanical Fitter. Location: WashingtonHours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am-3:45pm, Friday 7:00am-2:00pmOvertime: Regularly available and paid at time and a third (weekdays) and time and a half (weekends) The Opportunity Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join their busy and growing team. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability and excellent working conditions. As a Mechanical Fitter, you''ll be responsible for assembling a range of products and engineered systems, including instrumentation pipework, and carrying out hydraulic and pneumatic testing to ensure all quality and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Assemble standard and bespoke products.Pipe up instrumentation and install low- and high-pressure pipework ( " to ") using twin ferrule fittings.Carry out hydraulic and pneumatic testing, ensuring all documentation and pre-checks are completed.Participate in pre-handover meetings with Engineering to understand build requirements and potential issues. What You Will Need Completed apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (ONC/HND or equivalent).Proven ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and BOMs.Experience with high-pressure fittings and pressure testing procedures.A strong problem-solver, ..... full job details .....
