      <description>Location: Stevenage | Salary: 60.00-60.00 Hourly | Type: Permanent | MERITUS are recruiting for a Mechanical Architect to join our client to work on missile programmes from their site in Stevenage. The role is for an initial 6 month project but is very, very likely to extend. MECHANICAL ARCHITECT - INSIDE IR35 - £60 PER HOUR - UMBRELLA - STEVENAGE (COULD CONSIDER BOLTON) - 6 MONTHS - SC CLEARED (OR WILLING TO UNDERGO) - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - 3 / 4 DAYS ONSITE PER WEEK NEEDED The role is responsible for the delivery of the missile mechanical architecture requirements and typical responsibilities include:  Establishing the Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification (TRS) to ensure a structured and coherent mechanical response to the overall Missile TRS Management of the mechanical interface with the launcher Management of Mechanical and Thermal Interfaces across the Missile Defining the optimum mechanical architecture for all variants of the missile, ensuring the mechanical architecture and interfaces meet requirements Implementation of GMA (Generic Missile Architecture) Policies to ensure Modularity and Reuse objectives are achieved Development of the overall proving logic for the validation of the Airframe Ensuring mechanical compli...</description>
