MERITUS are recruiting for a Mechanical Architect to join our client to work on missile programmes from their site in Stevenage. The role is for an initial 6 month project but is very, very likely to extend.MECHANICAL ARCHITECT - INSIDE IR35 - 60 PER HOUR - UMBRELLA - STEVENAGE (COULD CONSIDER BOLTON) - 6 MONTHS - SC CLEARED (OR WILLING TO UNDERGO) - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - 3 / 4 DAYS ONSITE PER WEEK NEEDEDThe role is responsible for the delivery of the missile mechanical architecture requirements and typical responsibilities include:Establishing the Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification (TRS) to ensure a structured and coherent mechanical response to the overall Missile TRSManagement of the mechanical interface with the launcherManagement of Mechanical and Thermal Interfaces across the MissileDefining the optimum mechanical architecture for all variants of the missile, ensuring the mechanical architecture and interfaces meet requirementsImplementation of GMA (Generic Missile Architecture) Policies to ensure Modularity and Reuse objectives are achievedDevelopment of the overall proving logic for the validation of the AirframeEnsuring mechanical compliance to the Airframe TRS for missile certificate of designInterface with and manage customer expectations throughout the development processProducing Statements of Work and plans for activities within their sphere of responsibilityDirect technical supervision of engineers within their team and indirect ..... full job details .....
