Mechanical and Electrical Manager - Local Authority

Location: Berkshire Contract: 5-6 monthsRate: £400 per day (Umbrella)We are actively recruiting for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical (MandE) Manager to lead the delivery of housing repairs and maintenance services for a Local Authority in Berkshire.This is a key interim leadership role responsible for overseeing gas, plumbing, and electrical workstreams, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery across responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and external contracts.The Role:As MandE Manager, you will:Lead the operational delivery of MandE services across the housing stockManage and develop multidisciplinary teams, including supervisors, operatives, and subcontractorsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and all relevant building legislationDrive performance against KPIs, embedding a strong "right first time" cultureHold full responsibility for budget management, workforce planning, and service efficiencyUse performance data to identify trends and deliver continuous improvementManage complex issues, including escalated complaints, member enquiries, and employee relations mattersSupport and lead service transformation initiativesAbout You:An HNC or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services EngineeringStrong experience within housing, local authority, or property servicesA proven track record managing large teams, contractors, and operational deliveryIn-depth knowledge of MandE compliance, statutory ..... full job details .....
