Mechanic

Mechanic Location: Rochdale Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Benefits Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanic to join a busy and professional fleet workshop in Rochdale. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs across a varied range of vehicles. The role offers a good mix of work, with a strong focus on keeping vehicles maintained, safe and on the road. This role would suit an experienced Mechanic or Vehicle Technician with a strong background in servicing and general repairs, who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in completing work to a high standard. The Main Purpose of the Role Carry out servicing and general maintenance on a wide range of fleet vehicles. Complete fast-fit servicing and repairs as required. Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out any necessary repair work. Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Carry out brake repairs, clutch replacemesnts and maintenance. Complete general mechanical inspections and identify any additional work required. Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and keep the fleet operating effectively. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
