Mechanic (HGV and Plant)

Our client, a well-established Local Authority in Aberdeen, is currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to support the maintenance of their fleet on a temporary agency basis. This role involves carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a range of LGV, HGV, and plant vehicles, ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy public sector workshop environment with a varied and interesting fleet. Key Responsibilities Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on LGV, HGV, and plant vehiclesDiagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools and equipmentCompleting preventative maintenance and safety inspectionsEnsuring all vehicles and machinery meet safety and compliance standardsMaintaining accurate service and repair recordsWorking as part of a workshop team to ensure fleet availabilityFollowing all health and safety procedures and workshop regulations This is a fantastic opportunity to secure full time hours Monday to Friday. You will be working a standard 37 hour week with an immediate start available.
