Job Title: Mechanic / TechnicianLocation: Stoke-on-TrentDuration: Temporary to PermanentTo carry out inspection, servicing, diagnostics and repair of light vehicles and/or HGV trailers, ensuring all work meets safety standards and MOT requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesHeavy Vehicle Mechanic / Technician Service, maintain, and repair HGV trailers. Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections. Carry out fault finding and mechanical repairs. Support electrical fault diagnosis where required.Light Vehicle Mechanic Carry out servicing and maintenance on cars and vans. Inspect vehicles to MOT standard. Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic tools. Perform repairs on light commercial vehicles and cars. Work collaboratively within a team of technicians.Key Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Mechanic or Vehicle Technician. Knowledge of light vehicles and/or HGV trailers. Experience with diagnostics and fault finding. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and safety standards. Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge (desirable).Qualifications Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
