Measurement Engineer

Expected to:

• Measure-the works as they progress by taking surveys of the soil strip, cut, fill, capping, type 1,-and surfacing.
• Keeping a record of the stockpiles for materials going off-site.
• Measurement-of drainage works.
• Measurement-of subcontract works such as drainage, fencing and kerbing.-

Need to identify, capture and forecast any variation-to the scope such as the soft spots or changes with CBR values.-

Have an understanding of:

• Bills of Quantities
• standard methods-of measurement (CESMM4)
• Groundworks/earthworks/drainage take-offs-

Scope:-

• Record the progress of works
• Liaise-with the commercial team to
  • Provide quantities that will populate the monthly interim application-
  • Provide quantities for certifying subbie payments
  • Forecast the remaining works (BOQ quantities)
  • Forecast remaining materials (if you want to pass that to someone)
• Identify if we are going to exceed BoQ allowances-
